Во время Всероссийской технической выставки была открыта первая линия Одесского электрического трамвая — "Выставочная". На торжественном запуске первого вагона присутствовали градоначальник И. Н. Толмачев и директор трамвая Раймонд Легоде.

Состоялось первое испытание линии электрического трамвая под надзором технической комиссии одесского градоначальника. Пробная поездка была совершена от временного депо в Александровском парке до конечной станции на Ланжероне.
