Открыт первый участок линии метро M11 (Kağıthane — İstanbul Havalimanı), связывающий район Кагытхане с аэропортом Стамбула. Движение поездов с пассажирами началось с 06:00 23 января.
Линия длиной 34 км состоит из 7 станций, время в пути — 24 минуты. График работы — с 06:00 до 00:00, интервал движения — 20 минут. Сейчас на линии работают 10 четырёхвагонных поездов производства китайской CRRC, а после открытия второго и третьего участков их число будет увеличено до 44. Данные составы способны развивать скорость до 120 км/ч.
Несмотря на то, что линия M11 входит в сеть Стамбульского метрополитена, её эксплуатацией занимаются Турецкие железные дороги (TCDD).

The regular operation of Škoda 22Tr trolleybuses has ended. The last vehicles of this type were trolleybuses 3603 and 3605, which operated on the special farewell line on 22 January 2023. Trolleybus 3601 will be part of the collection of retro vehicles owned by DpmB.

19 LIAZ-5292 diesel buses and 6 PAZ midibuses have been officially introduced in the city. The LIAZ buses will operate via all trolleybus routes 1, 3 and 4.

"В последнее время участились случаи схода трамваев с путей, особенно после последних снегопадов. Руководство предприятия и руководство «АМТ» приняло решение приостановить трамвайное движение, начать техническое обследование трамвайного парка с последующей подготовкой проекта по его модернизации. A trolleybus junction at Ivan Mazepa Vulitsa and Tolstoy Vulitsa has been rebuilt with additional moves and the line via Tolstoy Vulitsa has been rebuilt. The new Line 8T between between Nezalezhnosti Vulitsa and Miska Likarnya N2 via Tolstogo Vulitsa has been introduced. The Line 6T has been suspended.

Opening of a new route (800 metres) to O-Werke.

The trolleybus Line 13 between Pavlo-Kichkas with Naberezhna has been 'secretly' liquidated. The work to dismantle the overhead between NDIHAZ and Pavlo-Kickas was done from 09.01.2022. The total length of the dismantled segment is 11 km. one-way. There was no official announcement from the city authorities on this matter. Trolleybuses did not operate this route from February 25, 2022.

The Naryn municipal trolleybus undertaking has acquired at the auction 4 decommissioned ZiU-682G-018 [GOR] trolleybuses for the price of 500 000 Kyrgyz som ($5835). The trolleybuses were sold by the Bishkek trolleybus undertaking. The vehicles have been delivered to Naryn, where they have entered revenue service.

As per decision by the regional Defense Council trolleybuses are allowed to operate in full, as long as electricity supply limit per day in the region is not less than 450 MW. All-day long trolleybus operation has been reinstated.

As per decision made by the local authorities, trolleybuses are to be replaced with high passenger carrying capacity and mid-capacity diesel buses in the nearest future.

The tramway Lines 1 and 7 have been reinstated following the completion of the infrastructure reconstruction.

The new 2,5 km-long segment of the MUNI Metro — Central Subway opens including three underwound stations Chinatown, Union Square/​Market Street, Yerba Buena/​Moscone, and one surface station 4th/Brannan. The new segment is connected with the rest of the network at 4th/King. The Line T — Third Street has been rerouted, and now operates between Chinatown and Sunnydal utilizing the new segment.

The new 14.3 km-long metro line M8 is opened between Bostancı and Parseller on the Asian side of the city. The line includes 13 stations, of which 3 offer transfers to the M4, M5 metro lines and the Marmaray system. The M8 service operates from 06:30 to 21:30 every 9 minutes. The one-way travel time is 21 minutes. The line is served by 10 fully automated 4-car trains manufactured by Hyundai EURotem.

The first 10 second-hand Solaris Trollino III 12 dating from 2011-12 arrived from Lublin. 20 such trolleybuses were purchased for appx. 825 000 Euro.

As a result of the shelling of the trolleybus Depot, several trolleybuses have been destroyed and more than 20 have been damaged. The maintenance shop has been damaged. The trolleybus service has been suspended due to severe damage to the overhead at various locations throughout the network.

2 января были открыты для пассажиров станции Fulya и Yıldız линии метро M7 (Mecidiyeköy — Mahmutbey). Движение на новом участке (от Mecidiyeköy до Yıldız) осуществляется в челночном режиме, интервал движения составляет 12 минут.

Two new trolleybus services 1T and 3T using battery auxiliary power have been launched. The Line 1T operates between Posyolok Kirova and Osvobozhdeniya Ploschad using 1 trolleybus. The Line 3T operates between Zapadniy Mikrorayon and Metallurgov Prospect using 2 vehicles. There is no overhead available, trolleybuses operate in the electric bus mode. The service is provided during a.m. and p.m. hours only with trolleybuses recharging at the Depot in-between.

The last day of tramway operation. The last special non-revenue run between Severnaya TETs and the Depot has pulled into the Depot at 19:45. The last run was completed by train 014+017. The Ist-Ilimsk tramway is closed.

The end of service of the original Tatra T3 trams with accelerator. This type of trams has been used in service since 1965. The last train 990+902 operated on the Lines 1 and 10. Trams 752, 987 and 8201 have been preserved as historic trams.
