Trams of the 71-619 (KTM-19) type retire.

The 10 km-long light rail line extension from Balıkçı to Tekkeköy opens. The second yard storage facility is located at the Tekkeköy Terminal.

The metro Line M4 extension from Kartal to Tavşantepe is opened.

Acting president of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev proposed construction of a tramway line in Samarkand. The new line should be built between Siabskiy Rynok and the Sartepa apartment block development. Mr. Mirzioyoev also advised to develop a network of future tramway lines with consideration of practical passenger needs. The first segment of the network is to be opened for the Navruz Holiday celebrations on March 21st, 2017. A rapid construction schedule is not unusual for Uzbekistan.

The Loyola-UPT streetcar line extension opens along North Rampart Street between Canal Street & Rampart and Elysian Fields Avenue. The line's designation is changed to the Loyola-Rampart Line.

The trolleybus services 4 between Fabrika Znamya Truda — Zavod Rabochiy Metallist, and 5 between Posyolok Oktyabrskiy — Zavod Rabochiy Metallist are suspedned. The trolleybus line to Zavod Rabochiy Metallist loses revenue service.

The trolleybus Line 12 is 'temporarily' suspended. The Line 14 in the city-bound direction only is rerouted via Khimikov Prospect, Kosmonavtov Ulitsa and Lomonosova Ulitsa. A new overhead switch is installed at Khimikov Prospect and Kosmonavtov Ulitsa for the new move. A segment via Khimikov Prospect from Kosmonavtov Ulitsa to the Khimkombinat Terminal loses revenue service and is cut off from the rest of the network.

Gyeonggang Line between Pangyo and Yeoju opens for service

As per an announcement by the Tashkent's Khokimiyat (city administration) press office, the acting President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoev ordered a resurrection of construction of the Yunusabad Metro Line, and completion of the two metro stations in the nearest future. In addition planning will be accelerated for the construction of the overground metro line to the Sergeli neighborhood.

A tender for 20 low floor trams to be used on the Line 4 Tsentralniy Rynok — Imanta is competed.

Three new metro stations open on the Line 10: Butyrskaya, Fonvizenskaya and Petrovsko-Razumvovskaya. At the Petrovsko-Razumovskaya Station an over-the-platform transfer is available for the Line 9.

Открыт второй зал станции Петровско-Разумовская, на который начали прибывать поезда Серпуховско-Тимирязевской линии, следующие в направлении станции Алтуфьево. Выход в город временно, до завершения строительных работ, осуществляется только через первый зал станции. В ближайшее время здесь будет организована кросс-платформенная пересадка с Люблинско-Дмитровской линией.

Последний краснодарский троллейбус-«гармошка» ЗиУ-683В01 № 212, списанный в 2012 году, выкуплен энтузиастами-транспортниками и отбуксирован на новую площадку. В планах новых владельцев машины — восстановление оригинального внешнего вида и интерьера троллейбуса, переоборудование раритета в клуб-музей любителей пассажирского транспорта.
