December 18, 2025, marked the last day of trolleybus service in Makhachkala. Routes 5 and 6 closed permanently. The last trolleybus, number 240, on route 5, made its final run to the depot, driven by driver Khanpasha Ismailov. The Makhachkala trolleybus served the city for 52 years and is now a thing of the past.

The first modern Stadler Tramlink tram began operating on routes. The tram entered service on line 92.

Бывшее троллейбусное депо № 1 открыли спустя год после реконструкции. Депо рассчитано на эксплуатацию до 130 единиц транспорта, включая 70 электробусов и 60 автобусов.

Поступил первый троллейбус Електрон Т19102.

Всего город заказал 9 машин, которые оборудованы автономным ходом до 20 км и климат-контролем.

Открыто движение по восстановленной трамвайной линии на Трифоновской улице и улице Гиляровского до Рижского вокзала, движение по которой было прекращено в ноябре 1995 года.

16 декабря 2025 года в 18:00 начал работу новый трамвайный маршрут № 5 с трассой следования от метро "Рижская" до Белорусского вокзала (через Трифоновскую улицу, МИИТ, Новосущёвский и Минаевский переулки, улицы Тихвинскую, Палиху и Лесную).

На маршруте работают новые трамваи модели 71-911ЕМ "Львёнок-Москва" с увеличенным автономным ходом. По восстановленному участку на Трифоновской улице, улице Гиляровского и оборотной петле на Рижской площади трамваи следуют на автономном ходу. Маршрут № 5 обслуживает трамвайное депо имени П.Л. Апакова.

Metro line C: station Colosseo and Porta Metronia are open to the service.

На автобусный маршрут № 9, обслуживаемый ТОО "Думан Транс KZ" вышли новые электробусы Yutong ZK6116BEVG.

Two new transport concessions are starting up in the Utrecht region and city: "Utrecht Binnen" run by Transdev (replacing the "Regio Utrecht" concession) and "Utrecht Buiten" by Keolis (replacing the "Provincie Utrecht").

New types of vehicles have been purchased to ensure the operation of the concessions:
• Yutong electric buses have been added to the fleets of both concessions;
• Solaris, VDL, and Volvo/MCV have produced electric buses for "Utrecht Binnen", including 25 new three-section Solaris Urbino 24 electric buses.

The electric buses that operated on the routes of the previous concessions were also transferred to the new operators.

The Achterhoek-Rivierenland concession has commenced operations under a new contract. Arriva remains the operator.

In addition to the hydrogen buses that have been in operation since 2023, new electric buses have been purchased:
• Solaris Urbino 15 Electric – 14 units, for lines 73 and 74;
• VDL Citea LE-122 and LE-135 – 64 and 22 electric buses, respectively, for lines 23, 51, 57, and 165, as well as other routes.

These routes belong to the SnelRRReis network, as they connect large population centers.

The Hoeksche Waard — Goeree-Overflakkee concession is transferred to Transdev, and new electric buses have been purchased to ensure the concession's operation:

• Volvo 7900E – 25 units for regional lines;
• VDL Citea LE-122 – 42 units for the R-Net network's main routes.

The Schaffhausen trolleybus made its final journey on 14 December 2025. Farewell trips were organised so that the public and fans could say goodbye.

На территории троллейбусного депо МУП «Муниципальный пассажирский транспорт Новороссийска» установлен памятник в виде троллейбуса ЗиУ-682Г-016.04 № 74. Данная машина была получена весной 2010 года, работала на маршрутах приморского города с 1 июня 2010 года. В этом году троллейбус был выведен из пассажирской эксплуатации, прошёл перекраску и 12 декабря был поставлен в специально подготовленном проёме забора троллейбусного депо на Анапском шоссе.

Подписано постановление о ликвидации муниципального унитарного предприятия «Махачкалинское троллейбусное управление». Срок ликвидации до шести месяцев, все сотрудники будут уволены. О возможном создании другого троллейбусного предприятия никакой информации на момент написания новости нет.

Tram network is back in service afte the stop.

The 10.3 km 18 stop Finch West LRT line (route 6) will begin revenue service on December 7, 2025. The line will be operated with 18 Alstom Citadis Spirit light rail vehicles (#6500-6517).

Guangzhou Public Transport Group latest electric bus: GAC YC6850KHLBEV, with Level 3 Autonomous Driving, has operated on route 86 (Lijiao Road East — HEMC Guangdong University of Technology).

A PKTS-62181 "General" electric bus from PK Transport Systems LLC has arrived in Omsk for test operation.
Following commissioning on December 6-7, the electric bus will begin a month-long test run.

В Новороссийске открыто движение троллейбусов по новому маршруту № 16. Трасса маршрута пролегает от железнодорожного вокзала до Дворца творчества по улицам Жуковского, Робеспьера, Тихоступа, Магистральной, Кутузовской, Советов, Революции 1905 года, Лейтенанта Шмидта, проспекту Ленина с оборотом по большому кольцу, образованному проспектом Ленина, улицей Южной, проспектом Дзержинского и улицей Куникова.

As of December 1, 2025, trolleybus lines 16, 17 and 20 will be jointly operated with electric buses, which will ultimately replace all trolleybuses in the Piraeus area in the upcoming weeks.

ArrivaBus' new BYD B12 electric buses are entering service on lines 105 and 210/210B.

Second VLT line have started operation between Terminal Barreiros and Valongo. New section of line 2 consists of unidirectional circular track between Conselheiro Nébias — Unimes station to Valongo and back, as well as additional junction between Poupatempo and Bittencourt stations that allows to turn around earlier. In total there are 12 new stations. Initially line is operating in test mode from Monday to Saturday from 9-10h to 13-14h every 25-30 min. utilizing vehicles taken from line 1.

Liburnija Zadar chose the company Novatec to deliver 13 solo low floor e-buses from house Higer. All buses should be delivered by the end of August 2026.

The end of Düwag trams in Osijek. The last remaining GT6 tram #1237 has been transferred back to Zagreb where it will be restored as a museum tram.
