Delivery of the first 2 new Russian trolleybuses TrolZa 5265.03 Megapolis for the Line Q out of 12 ordered by the municipality from TrolZa. The trolleybuses were dispatched from the port of Zárate, where they arrived from Russia, on 04.18. As per the Secretary of Mobility, Monica Alvarado, since Trolza delivered trolleybuses with a delay, 2 additional trolleybuses are expected as a penalty for a breach of the contract by TrolZa, in addition to the 12 ordered.

A new Trolza-5265 Megapolis trolleybus was delivered to the depot. It was purchased by the OJSC Chernomortransneft to commemorate its 50th anniversary.

Stadler Rail Valencia S.A.U won the tender of MÁV-START Zrt. for the purchase of 8 + 4 optional diesel-electric tram-train vehicles. The aim of the development implemented from the EU funds is to create a tram-train connection between Szeged and Hódmezővásárhely. MÁV-START is the railway passenger operations subdivision of MÁV Group (Hungarian State Railways), the future operator of the line.

The second segment of the new tram line to Sykhiv neighborhood opens. The Lines 2 and 8 are extended to the loop at Vernadskoho Street.

The tramway passenger service between Zheleznodorozhniy Vokzal (the Main Railway Station) and Sartepa begins. The line operates between 6:00-23:00 on the 7 minute headway with 8 VarioLF trams. There are 26 stops round-trip.

The trolleybus Line 18 is suspended. The trolleybus portion of the tram & trolleybus Depot 3 and the trolleybus network served by are closed.

The new trolleybus Line 5 between Zheleznodorozhniy Vokzal (the Main Railroad Station) and EMSS opens.

The route system of the Lodz tramways is radically revamped. Most tram line routings are changed, new lines are introduced, and some terminal names are changed. Passengers are given a free ride for the first 3 days. Changes will affect the Lines 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9A, 9B, 10A, 10B, 11A, 11B, 12A, 12B, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 41, 43A, 43B, 45, 46.

Metro has signed a contract for the delivery of 64 CRRC HR4000 railcars totaling $178 million. The agreement includes a built-in option that could expand the order to 282 cars for a total of $647 million.
The new trains are intended to serve the D Line extension as well as replace the first generation of aging Breda A650 vehicles. The expected entry into service is 2020.

The new 3,1 km-long segment of the metro line opens with three new stations — Milo, San Nullo & Nesima. The Cibali station to be located between the San Nullo & Nesima stations will be completed in the future.

KP Electrotrans ceased operating 7 trolleybuses leased by the private carrier Graneks and stored at the depot, namely 2 ZiU-682G-016(018), 2 LAZ E183D1 & 3 ZiU-682V-012(VOA) trolleybuses. In addition to the above, 30 trolleybuses owned by the municipality continue in service: 20 Dnipro T103, 6 YuMZ-T2 & 4 ZiU-682G (GOO) trolleybuses.

According to the mayor Vitaliy Kushnarev all trolleybuses in Rostov are to be replaced with diesel buses for the 2018 Soccer Tournament. The average age of trolleybuses is 20 years, while diesel buses are considered more effective. The municipality plans to purchase 100 Russian-made diesel buses and 14 trams in 2017, upon which all older trams except those purchased in 2016 will be retired. Additional 100 diesel buses might also be purchased in 2018.
