Восстановлена (фактически смонтирована заново) контактная сеть троллейбуса на участке "Депо 1 — поселок Николаевка — поселок Ялга". Данный многокилометровый участок, построенный в 1994 году, в последние годы не использовался, контактная сеть находилась в аварийном состоянии и около полутора лет назад была частично демонтирована. Восстановление линии связано с развитием поселка Ялга как зоны жилищного строительства — исходя из потребностей жителей будут создаваться новые маршруты общественного транспорта.

Two autonomous electric buses from China arrived in Mahiloŭ. The buses is a gift to the city for its 750 anniversary from the Chinese city of Hunan. The buses will not operate in the streets for now.

RTA board of trustees authorized purchase of 26 NexGen trolleybuses with Vossloh Kiepe electrical equipment and Gillig bus bodies at ~$1,2 million each. The expected service target date is 2019. 80% of the purchase will be financed by the US federal funds. 15 more trolleybuses will be bought once federal funding becomes available. The NexGen trolleybus costs 63% more than a standard diesel bus, but has a 20-year / 800,000 mile life before rehabs, compared to the diesel’s 12-year / 500,000 mile life. Electric trolleybuses are also cheaper to operate, better for the environment and quieter. The purchase comes after 3 years of testing of 4 prototypes — 2 with a diesel auxiliary option, and 2 with a battery option. The model chosen will be powered off-wire by a 1361-kg Lithium Titanate Oxide battery, which allows driving for 15 miles off-wire at 50 mph fully loaded.

В Тбилиси открылась новая, 23-я по счету станция метро "Государственный университет" на Сабурталинской линии, которая ежедневно сможет обслуживать порядка 15 тысяч пассажиров.
Строительство новой станции метро началось в 1985 году, однако было прекращено в 1993. Строительные работы возобновилось лишь в июле 2015 года, когда к осуществлению проекта подключился Азиатский банк развития. Сумма инвестиций банка составила более 83 миллионов лари (порядка 33,1 миллиона долларов).
В рамках проекта были восстановлены существующие тоннели общей длиной в 3,5 километра. Подготовлены рельсовые линии, электроподстанции, эскалаторы, вентиляционные и дренажные системы, а также системы управления сигнализацией и противопожарные системы.
Кроме того, сделано четыре выхода со станции метро "Государственный университет", которые расположены на проспекте Важа-Пшавела и на улице Сандро Эули.

Новую станцию Тбилисского метрополитена построила испанская компания "COBRA ASSIGNIA". В процессе строительства было трудоустроено более 2 тысяч человек.

Начались испытания без пассажиров новой троллейбусной линии на улице Prosecká. Для этих целей производителем был арендован троллейбус SOR TNB12, получивший номер 9505. Ранее этот троллейбус испытывался в г. Брно под номером 3707.

Skoda Transport won a tender for supply of 13 new low-floor trams for the 1009 mm track gauge. The offer stands at 44 796 377.36 BGN without VAT. The funding will be provided under the OPRG project "Integrated urban transport — Phase II".
