По состоянию на 31 декабря 2017 года прибыли 14 троллейбусов, безвозмездно переданных Правительством Москвы МУП БТУ в рамках гуманитарной помощи регионам.

Открытие первой линии метрополитена в городе Сямынь (Китай). Линия длиной 30,3 км соединяет северный район Jimei с центром городского округа. Время работы с 6:30 до 22:30, время поездки между конечными станциями 50 минут.

The trolleybus Line 41 extended from the Geroev Prospect terminal via Geroev Prospect, Admirala Tributsa Ulitsa, Petergofskoe Shosse (return via Admirala Cherokova Ulitsa). The line will be operated with autonomous rechargeable electric buses as part of the route lacks overhead.

В Пензу на испытание поступил троллейбус модели УТТЗ-6241-000020.

Расширение сети метрополитена сразу на 55,3 км:
Открыта новая линия 8 длиной 16,7 км между станциями Jintan Road на севере городи и Liyuan на юге. Линия состоит из 12 станций и проходит через туннель под рекой Янцзы;
Открыта новая линия 21 длиной 35 км — первая пригородная линия в Ухани. Линия соединяет проспект Houhu на западе с автовокзалом Xinrong и округами Qinglong и Jintai на востоке;
Открыто продление линии 1 длиной 3,6 км от проспекта Dongwu до Jingheс с 3 станциями на западе города.

Открытие линии 2 между станциями Nangang и Sanshibu. На линии длиной 37,8 км расположено 24 станции.

Открытие второй линии метро в городе Наньнин (Китай) между Xijin на севере и Yudong на юге города. На линии длиной 21 км расположено 18 станций.

Italian government will provide 137.88 million euros to buy new 11 subway trains (55 million euros) and build "Brin-Canepari" (64.28 million euros) and "Brignole-Martinez" (18.1 million euros) sections.

Italian government will provide 223 million euros to buy new trams (75 million euros) and build "Lingotto-Bengasi" (stations Italia '61, Bengasi) and "Fermi-Cascine Vica" (stations Certosa, Collegno Centro, Leumann , Cascine Vica) subway line 1 sections.

New high floor Siemens S200 cars 2001-2006 enter service. The contract assumes delivery of 219 trams of this type.

The bridge over the Nikitinskiy Ovrag on the 8 Doroga (between the Saranskkabel/Tipografiya & DSK Stops) closes due to dangerous state of disrepair for all traffic including trolleybuses for an unknown period of time, likely for half a year or more. The trolleybus Line 13T is suspended. The depot trips on the Line 5 are rerouted.

Delivered the first Škoda 21TrACI trolleybus, ex-Plzeň 491, from a batch of 4 such trolleybuses to be delivered by the end of the year 2017.
