Мельбурн по праву можно считать трамвайной столицей Австралии. По сравнению с другими штатами и городами Австралии, где большинство трамвайных и троллейбусных систем были демонтированы в 50-60-е годы, Мельбурн выбрал другой путь, не только сохранив, но и расширив свою сеть. В результате чего Мельбурн считают трамвайной столицей мира, несмотря на то, что происходит в таких городах, как Москва или Санкт-Петербург! А вообще, Мельбурн очень чем-то похож на Питер, не важно если это архитектура, трамваи или просто "вайб".

На данной фотографии, класс Е поворачивает на крайний путь остановки St. Vincent's Plaza на фоне здания местного колледжа. Трамвай следовал с очень высокой бдительностью, т.к. в пару десятках метрах от меня какие-то странные личности разбивали свои вещи об тротуар, похоже, под воздействием каких-то наркотиков. После прибытия на остановку водитель вызвал полицию, которая так и не прибыла.

Welcome to Melbourne!

Melbourne can rightly be considered the tramway capital of Australia. Compared to other states and cities in Australia, where most trams and trolleybus systems were dismantled in the 50s and 60s, Melbourne chose a different path, not only preserving but also expanding its network. As a result, Melbourne is considered the tramway capital of the world, despite what happens in cities like Moscow or St. Petersburg! And in general, Melbourne is very much like St. Petersburg in some ways, no matter if it's the architecture, the trams or just the vibes.

In this photo, the E class is turning onto the outermost track of the St. Vincent's Plaza stop with the local college building in the background. The tram was proceeding with very high vigilance, as a couple dozen meters away some strange individuals were smashing their belongings against the sidewalk, seemingly under the influence of some drugs. After arriving at the stop, the driver called the police, which never arrived.
