Operations along the line via Ikh Toiruu ceased by 2001-2004, the line was officially closed in 2005, and the overhead was dismantled later.
Note endless ghettos in the background — so called Ger-districts without any city services, that span out uncontrollably on the mountains surrounding Ulaanbaatar.

Обратите внимание на бесконечные гетто на заднем плане — т.н. гэр-районы без каких-либо коммунальных услуг, бесконтрольно разросшиеся по горам, окружающим Улан-Батор.

Полу-кольцевая линия по Их тойруу была построена как часть комплексного проекта троллейбусной сети, введённой в эксплуатацию комплексно к 1988 г.
Однако ввиду второстепенности трассы, обходящей центр города с севера, и низкого приоритета маршрута, его открытие было отложено до 1994 г., когда было получено достаточно троллейбусов.

Виды на гетто вокруг всего города - неотемлемая часть жизни в Улан-Баторе. Знаменитые латиноамериканские фавелы рядом не стояли по сравнению с монгольскими т.н. гэр-районами...

The semi-circular trolleybus line along Ikh Toiruu was constructed as a part of the comprehensive trolleybus network built in bulk by 1988. However, due to secondary nature of the line, which is routed to the north of the city center, the opening of the line was postponed until 1994 when enough vehicles was received.

Views of the ghettos surrounding the city - is a part of daily life in Ulaanbaatar. The famous favelas in Latin America is nothing compared to Mogolian so-called Ger-districts...
