Operations begin by the OOO TKK, a newly established private tramway carrier enterprise. 9 new Stadler B85600M trams will operate via the Line 8. No fares will be collected until the end of March. As the first stage of the project remains incomplete, trams turnaround 150 meters short of the transfer point to the Ladozhskaya Metro Station.

Tramway operation is suspended due to power supply limitations and hard weather conditions. The tramway depot property is put on the auction.

Italian government will provide 15 million euros to buy 3 new subway trains.

Italian government will provide 29,9 million euros for the Line 2 extension to Sesto Fiorentino-Polo Scientifico.

Italian government will provide 38 million euros to extend the Line 6 between Mostra — Arsenale — Campegna.

Two new trolleybus line segments open. The Lines 2 & 27 extend from the Pardubičky, točna terminal to Zámeček via Průmyslová Ulica (for a total of 900 meters). The Line 13 extends from the Polabiny, Sluneční terminal to Ohrazenice, točna via Bohdanečská Ulica and Semtínská Ulica (2100 meters).

The tram Lines 4 & 6 close. The Line 1 operating between Imanta — Yugla is rerouted via the Tsentralniy Rynok (the Central Market) in both directions. The tram Line 1 covers the entire former Lines 4 & 6. The trolleybus Line 20 closes. The new diesel bus Line 59 opens instead to serve the Tseletsentr branch. The trolleybus Line 24 closes. Selected trips of the trolleybus Line 19 operate to the Dzintars terminal instead.

The end of service of Škoda 15Tr trolleybuses, operated between 01.07.1989 — 03.03.2018.

The trolleybus Line 5 is cut back to the Zh.d. Vokzal (the Main Railroad Station) only. Hence the one-way loop line through Zavokzalniy Posyolok to the Yuzhniy Pereulok is no longer used in revenue service. The line that was operated for 33 years between 1985-2018 will most likely be dismantled in a few months.

OCTA placed an order for 8 Siemens S700 vehicles, at a cost of $51.5 million.

The first segment of the future 2nd ('Large') circular metro line opens with stations Petrovskiy Park, TsSKA, Horoshevskaya, Shelopikha & Delovoy Tsentr. The Delovoy Tsentr Station on the Kalininskaya-Solntsevskaya Line is mothballed. Trains operate via two patterns on the new line: between Petrovskiy Park — Ramenki; and between Petrovskiy Park — Delovoy Tsentr. Train operation between Ramenki — Delovoy Tsentr is suspended.

As per head of the MP Gorelektrotrans Vladimir Bolotin, one of the two trolleybus yards, the facility in Televizionniy Pereulok closes temporarily to make way and accommodate the Universiada Games diesel bus fleet maintenance. During this time all trolleybuses and personnel will be transferred to the remaining facility on Berezina Ulitsa. This will not affect the usual trolleybus operations. Personnel will be shuttled to work to the new location via special transport. Following the completion of the Games trolleybuses will return to the Televizionniy Pereulok facility.

The first PCC cars from Gent arrived at the Deurne Depot. Bi-directional cars are needed in Antwerpen due to roadworks that start next summer. Additional PCC cars from Gent are to be delivered soon.

Электробус БКМ-E433 Vitovt-MAX впервые вышел на автобусный маршрут. Для этого выбран центральный маршрут №1 "Вокзал" — "Веснянка", проходящий по центральным проспектам Независимости и Победителей, где в 2002 и 2006 годах, соответственно, была демонтирована контактная сеть троллейбуса, а троллейбусный маршрут 56 "Веснянка" — ГУМ заменен на автобусную "единичку".

Пока что на 1 маршруте работает лишь один электробус, но их количество будет постепенно увеличиваться и постепенно маршрут будет полностью переведен на электробусы.

Одновременно, электробусы перестали обслуживать 51 троллейбусный маршрут.

12 new Solaris Urbino IV 12 Electric started service on new route "C".

С 4 февраля 2018 г. на основании распоряжения Управления дорог и транспорта закрывается движение трамваев на пригородных линиях в Згеж и Озоркув.

В связи с этим изменяются следующие маршруты трамваев:

15: К/ст «Хойны, ул. Курчаки» — ул. Жговская, ул. Падеревского, просп. Политехники, ул. Жеромского, ул. Гданьская, ул. Легионов, ул. Поморская, садовые участки, ул. Телефоничная — к/ст «Стоки».

17: будет следовать по полному маршруту во все дни недели.

45 и 46 — отменяются.

В качестве компенсации вводятся автобусные маршруты Z45 и Z46. Также будет увеличен выпуск вагонов на маршрут 4.

Упрощены правила оценки информативности фото. Теперь оценка И+ ставится при отсутствии фото в течение года (в любом ракурсе), а также при изменении окраски ТС.

Открыта новая односторонняя линия по улице Вовчынецкой и Привокзальной площади. Частично изменены троллейбусные маршруты 6 и 8.

Beginning of electric buses service in Bratislava. One 12-meter electric bus SOR NS 12 Electric will serve the line 53 and another will be tried on lines 43, 52, 65, 66, 80 and 94. Two 8-meter SOR EBN 8 will serve lines 27 and 151. During this year 14 more electric buses SOR NS 12 Electric will be supplied to Bratislava
