501 Queen streetcars began using the new track on Adelaide between York and Victoria.

The first Nova LFSe+, #6601, has been delivered. Toronto will receive 136(#6600-6735) of these long-range (~400km) electric buses. It entered revenue service on November 27, 2024.

12. Juli 2024

The first New Flyer XE40 Xcelsior CHARGE NG, #6000, has been delivered. Toronto will receive 204 (#6000-6203) of these long-range (~400km) electric buses. The first bus to enter revenue service on November 28, 2024 was #6012.

9. August 2023

4604, the first car of a 60 car Alstom Flexity order has been delivered. The new cars are identical to the original LFLRV order (4400-4603). All the cars are supposed to be delivered by end of 2025.

24. Oktober 2022

One way streetcar operation to be reinstated on Adelaide Street between Spadina Avenue and York Street ahead of construction on the Ontario Line, new rapid transit project. For the time of construction Route 501 to be temporary diverted from Queen Street to Richmond Street (westbound) and to Adelaide Street (eastbound) between York Street and Church Street. Streetcar track work on Adelaide Street, west of York Street is necessary to allow for TTC route diversions in the downtown core. The remaining streetcar track work on York Street and Adelaide Street will be carried out by Metrolinx. Project completion expected in Spring 2023.

29. Dezember 2019

Last day of operation for CLRV trams based on the PCC technology following 42 years on the property (40 years of service). The final ride operated from Wolseley Loop to the Russell Carhouse. 20 seats on the final tram were offered to rail fans through the contest. Articulated version ALRV trams operated for the last time on 02 Sep 2019 following 37 years on the property (31 years of service). From 30 Dec 2019 all surface public transit in Toronto will be 100% low floor.

7. Oktober 2018

The 514 Cherry route was replaced by two overlapping branches of the 504 King route.

— Streetcar service along Roncesvalles Avenue and Cherry St. will be operated by the 504A (Dundas West Stn – Distillery).
— Streetcar service along Broadview Avenue and Dufferin St. will be operated by the 504B (Broadview Stn – Dufferin Gate)

The 304 King overnight service remains unchanged and will operate between Dundas West and Broadview stations via King St.

Due to a shortage of streetcars, the routes 505 Dundas and 506 Carlton are temporarily replaced by buses.
