В связи с ремонтом Нового Волжского моста трамвайные маршруты, связывавшие Заволжский район с остальными районами города, следовали через Тверецкий мост — ул. Академика Туполева — Восточный мост — ул. Орджоникидзе — проспект Победы — пл. Капошвара. Именно поэтому в 1993 — 1994 гг. на проспекте Победы можно было встретить помимо "традиционных" трамвайных маршрутов № 8, 12 и 13, "пришлые" трамвайные маршруты № 5, 6 и 11
