The participants were very enthusiastic that a crossing with the 9994 (museum tram) was going to take place. We were informed by telephone at the last moment that this tram was on its way. It's not historically correct: neither an interurban tram nor a Ghent tram have ever driven there. But it is the first crossing in Antwerp of both types of trams...

Back in the 60's! Exactly 50 years ago the last interurban (vicinal) tram line was closed in Antwerp. This was commemorated and P.C.C. 7001 received the original number 2001 for that day. Both trams existed in 1968 and this crossing is historically correct at this location, where line 3 still runs and formerly line 63. The P.C.C. also received a historical line indication of the 60's for this occasion.
