Первые кандидаты на списание после ввода в строй новых троллейбусов фирмы Yutong.
В статье, откуда взят данный снимок, приведены также комментарии горожан, которые сожалели о такой участи машин: у многих жителей есть тёплые воспоминания, связанные с троллейбусами Mercedes-Benz.

Утилизация машин происходит на отдельной площадке в южной части Кито. Однако не все троллейбусы будут разрезаны: борт №01 сделают музейным, кузова отдельных машин будут использованы повторно: на их базе откроют зоны отдыха и библиотеки.

The first ones to be decommissioned after the new Yutong trolleybuses were put into service.
The article from which this photo was taken also includes comments from citizens who regretted the fate of the vehicles: many residents have fond memories of Mercedes-Benz trolleybuses.

The machines are scrapped at a separate site in the southern part of Quito. However, not all of the trolleybuses will be decommissioned: car №01 will be made into a museum, and the bodywork of some of the vehicles will be reused: recreational areas and libraries will be opened on their base.
