Location is modern day Avenida Doutor Miguel Bombarda. All buildings that are visible in the photo are part of Sintra train station.

Since the opening of the line in 1904 the tram went all the way into the old town of Sintra and had the terminus in what is now Praça da República, right next. In 1955 the lina was shortened till the train station and then in 1974 closed completely only to be re-opened in 1997 by enthusiasts and in 2004 extended till the current terminus in Sintra.

As the tram tracks end here the photo has been taken between 1955 and 1974 while this was the terminal of the line.
