I actually thought for a moment that it was intentional and an attempt to legitimize this art form. I thought so too, because the carriages on other lines are in much better condition. But even judging by the year (2023) on the front of the carriage in the photo, I think it's just vandalism and laziness to either take better care of the sets or wash them properly.

Graffiti is case-specific for the older Line 1 in particular - due storage accessibility, and materials cars are built from. They just let the problem go, and graffiti reached the artistic parameters on many trains :)

Граффити — это факт, специфичный для старой линии 1. B частности, из-за доступности терриоторий хранения вагонов, и материалов из которых построены вагоны. Перевозчик просто пустил эту проблему на самотёк, и на многих поездах граффити достиглo художественного уровня :)

This capture is amazing! I’d like to shoot it in winter, but it seems to be backlit all day. I’m not sure if it would work well during the blue hour in the evening?
