Report on the situation regarding trolleybus operations in Modena at the time of visit, April 2025:

Only lines 7 and 11 are served by trolleybuses (exclusively Solaris/Kiepe). On line 7, the trolleybuses use the overhead wire only in the section between Sant'Agostino museo and the Gottardi terminus. The rest of the route is served by auxiliary power. The reasons for this are unknown. On line 11, the overhead wire is only used between Villa Fogliani and the Zodiaco terminus. The rest of the route is served by auxiliary power.

Line 6 has been shortened to the Autostazione - Chinnici section and is served by diesel buses; the Autostazione - Santi section is served by other diesel bus lines. The overhead wire is still in place in this section, but line 6 is no longer indicated on the stop signs.

The charming route in the southern part of the city center (Corso Duomo (https://transphoto.org/search.php?cid=12...trict=1) / Corso Canalchiaro (https://transphoto.org/search.php?cid=12...trict=1) is not being used at all due to a conflict with the city administration. Lines 6 and 11 are permanently diverted via Viale Vittorio Veneto (Line 6 with diesel buses, Line 11 with battery power).

On the route to the depot (line 11), the overhead wire has been permanently removed for approximately 400 meters between the Attiraglio and BV Soratore stops. The depot can therefore only be reached using auxiliary drives.

Autodromo and Neoplan trolleybuses are stored inside the depot. Only No. 19 remains there of the old Socimi type as a potential historic vehicle.

It seems to be the usual business in this city.
