Mauritius light rail system is an exceptional destination by itself. This is a true interurban on a tropical island. Imagine how the Cuban Hershey interurban would look like after modernization, if history didn’t go the way it did. Obviously more photos to follow. This photo of an elevated terminus I took immediately after arriving on the island in the evening, and at the station, nearest to the airport. The nearest easily accessible tramway system would be in Dubai ) A very convenient transfer point for many obscure destinations. The cheaper version would be via Saudi through Jeddah on one of the flights catered to pilgrimage. However, I prefer Emirates due to far superior service. And all the stewardesses are Russian )

Сеть трамвая Маврикия сама по себе является исключительной целью. Это типичный интерурбан на тропическом острове. Представьте, как бы выглядел интерурбан Херши на Кубе после хорошей модернизации, если бы история не развивалась так, как случилось. Разумеется, будут еще фотографии. Это фото надземной конечной станции я сделал сразу после прибытия на остров вечером, и на станции, ближайшей к аэропорту. Ближайшая легкодоступная трамвайная система будет в Дубае ) Кстати, очень удобная точка для пересадки для многих необычных направлений. Более дешевый вариант был бы на Saudia через Джедду на одном из рейсов, заточенных под паломников. Однако я предпочитаю Emirates из-за исключительного уровня сервиса. Кстати, и все стюардессы русские )

Мне кажется это смотря из какой страны ехать :)
Из РФ очень просто прилететь в Эмираты, а дальше прямой рейс 6.5 ч. Единственное, что ценник приличный. А так по времени получается как типичный для многих россиян , живущих в европейской части страны, полет в Юго-восточную Азию через Китай (получивший небывалую популярность и размах после 2022).

Коллега-трамвайщик уехал работать стюардом в Air arabia, так что это похоже популярная сфера деятельности для нашего человека - в Эмираты в бортпроводники.
