To celebrate the 50th anniversary of 6001, the very first TW6000 to arrive in Hannover, the unit went through a thorough overhaul and received a fresh coat of paint. On the 27th, special rides between the stations "Hauptbahnhof", "Empelde" and "Brunnenstraße" were offered — 6001 even received special celebratory banners on its sides.
