The 22-km long interurban line Naples - Secondigliano - Scampia - Melito di Napoli - Aversa - Teverola had been long operated with a mix of trolleybuses and diesel buses, and often just with the diesel buses, as operator CTP took advantage of any excuse not to operate trolleybuses.
