To be honest I wouldn't consider them old, cause they've only served 11 years, a low number compared to how long other European trolleybuses serve.

I heard that Almaty allows them to operate for 15 years, and in this sense, they are indeed retiring early.

On the other hand, some of these cars do have poor appearance, and even some have holes in the outer shell. Retirement now is not considered a premature death, is it.

That's because the maintenance in the trolleybus park is very bad, even a simple thing like fixing a handle takes them up to a month, they're putting a bad image on European trolleybuses which have been and are still proving to be the best.
