Do Wegmann 6ZGTW trams operate as a replacement for low-floor cars for whatever reason? Or do they operate in regular basis? If so, what day of the week / time of the day? It looks like for some reason Wegmann 6ZGTW operate on the Line 2 only. Thanks.

Wegmann 6ZGTW currently operate on regular basis - they ensure all regular connections on line 2 - only on workdays. As the line needs 5 trams, and 5 Pesa trams slept in depot, theoretically there would be no need to use them. However, it is surely better to let them run, rather than keep them only for emergencies and acummulate failures. They cannot be used on lines 1 or 3, because they currently terminate at Dowgielewiczovej stop in a dead-end track (the rest of the route is still under reconstruction). Thus there is enough Pesa reserve for those lines and the old ones keep photographers happy :)

Easier explained - the number of available low-floor trams is exactly the count of vehicles needed for a full workday schedule. Random replacements would thus occur on a daily basis, further limited only on line 2, which would cause double-switches ... and after the works are finished, they will surely need 1 or 2 more trams ...

Хотя изначально то они и были двухсторонними, когда в городе не было такой необходимости
