Schéma trolejbusové sítě v Saint-Étienne v čase jejího maximálního rozsahu v roce 1998. Obsluhovalo ji celkem 7 linek, z toho linka č. 1 byla meziměstská do Firminy a č. 6 obsluhovaná také kloubovými trolejbusy. Od počátku tisíceletí počet linek neustále klesal, mnohé traťové úseky byly zrušeny nebo opuštěny. Po síti nakonec operovala jediná linka 3 s trasou Cotonne — Terrenoire.
V rámci renesance trolejbusové dopravy nastartované novými parciálními vozy, dodávanými od roku 2019 je dnes opět v provozu také trať na Michon a Bellevue (současná linka M7) a již ve výstavbě je trať od Rond-Point na sídliště Métare, která naváže na opuštěné vedení na Cours Fauriel. Barevné štíty s trasou jednotlivých linek barevně vycházejí z obdobných cedulí, kterými se osazovaly bočnice starších generací vozů a sloužily pro snadnou orientaci cestujících.

It was served by a total of 7 lines, of which line No. 1 was intercity to Firminy and No. 6 was also served by articulated trolleybuses. Since the beginning of the millennium, the number of lines has been steadily declining, with many line sections being canceled or abandoned. In the end, the only line 3 operated on the network with the route Cotonne — Terrenoire. As part of the renaissance of trolleybus transport started by new partial battery vehicles, delivered since 2019,
the line to Michon and Bellevue (current line M7) is also in operation today, and the line from Rond-Point to the Métare housing estate is already under construction,
which will connect the abandoned line at Cours Fauriel. The colored shields with the route of the lines are based on similar signs,
which were used on the sides of older generations of trolleybuses and served for easy orientation of passengers.
