Is a double-traction on route 2 a normal scenario?

Just for one round, but there is no guarantee for a double-traction.
But possible to get this at 12 o`clock, before and after line 2, this tram is still on line 4.

In itself, it's a miracle that the tram company has survived and still offers a more than adequate tram service. After all, the city is of such a size that a lot of similar places barely have to manage with a few buses...
Route 2 is a phenomenon in itself: I think there are 2 passengers on the tram. The times I have visited Gotha, I have never known it to be really busy on line 2 - except perhaps for one or two school journeys. That's why I was more than surprised to see this photo.

I also don't understand why the transport company does one lap on line 2. But it's very good for the photographers, so very good service.

Maybe a trick to get the driver's number of hours worked right?
Anyway: if I'm one time on a working day in Gotha, then I know what to do at noon...
