Prior to 1987, trams on lines 5 and 16 ran on Vasile Lascăr Street to C. A. Rosetti Square and on Hristo Botev Avenue up to the intersection with Calea Moșilor. The tracks were relocated on Armand Călinescu Street 10 years after the photo was taken, presumably to avoid traffic jams at Rosetti Square (along with the relocation of line 5 from Floreasca to Băneasa).
