Until the introduction of digital photography, I wrote down the number of the 2nd car in a paper notebook and it was either noted on the verso of the picture at home, or from 1998 in a computer file.
In both cases something can go wrong: either when noting it down on the spot, or when transferring it at home.
Still, after all these years I conclude that I have actually been accurate. I regularly find the proofs in St. Petersburg, where my numbers appear to correspond with what's in the files.
Don't forget that in the end I was always trained as well, because also in Antwerp I always had to pay attention to the number of the 2nd vehicle.
Was it the 107 here? Of course I can never guarantee this for 100%. But I checked it. I took a lot of photos, and the 107 is nowhere else. For your information: the 106 was in the depot, the 109 drove solo. No guarantee, but one can assume that the number I wrote down at the time was correct.
