Does anybody now what's with the new trolleybuses for Târgu-Jiu? The auction had been carried over many times but in this month there has been no information about that at all. What's happening now?

The most recent news I could find is from one month ago. It says that the tender hasn't been cancelled and the Ministry of Regional Development must select a winner. There are offers by 4 companies - Solaris, Bozankaya, Golden Dragon and a Ukrainian company, I believe Electron.

Apparently the tender has been cancelled because none of the offers met the technical criteria. Criteria will be revised and a new tender will be announced.

In any case, the new acquisition will be delayed indefinitely, the matter is a "political question", recently a depot employee said (there even should be elections soon, if I remember correctly).
