Did you try with a polarization filter ?

I didn't have a filter with me.

Anyway: my expectations were low, because the whole line is in tunnel.

The stations are closed till the stationmaster allows the passenger to enter and board. I could obtain the permission to make photos before boarding, but just before and after waiting a while: just 1 or 2 minutes.

The light is the station was ok and I didn't need to change the settings, even it would be difficult to manage this in a short time.

The surprise was that not many passengers showed up and that everyone could board the first trolleybus - and they waited to the last passenger - me!

Here also I asked if I could make the (short) trip with the 2nd trolleybus. This was accepted and the bus departed immediately after that I boarded: I just had time to change the ISO (tunnels are more dark), the shutter speed and to search a place to make photos. The front was bad and the back of the trolleybus offered a view on the 3th trolleybus, which folowed us. But: the line is short and everything needs to be done very quickly. I don't think I would have time to put a filter on my lens.

А вообще меня радует то, что у Японцев до сих пор свой стиль ГЭТ есть, чем-то на американский 50-80 годов прошлого века смахивает, что в десятилетия унификации радует.

The key is traveling off-season ;) Back in November, 2017 I travelled the system during the snowstorm, with very few passengers around. Thus, there was no one to wait for, and the staff was especially accommodating - I could actually walk the tunnels with the camera ;) Photos are pending.

Any news/talks on converting the Kanden (eastern) line to rechargeable electric buses? 2018 was supposed to be the last season for trolleybuses.

This will happen and the photos (included proof of replacement to electric busses) will be posted soon - today or tomorrow.

And the idea to visit the line in a more quiet season is excellent, but tricky, because it can happen that (in november) snowfall is too heavy and the line is not in service. But Kanden will be posted!
