I don't know if you had a closer look at this tram and more specifically inside.
It was equipped with a kitchen, a dining table and chairs, a sofa and even a bed...

This in turn serves as a rest area for the driving personnel, who are thus relieved here.
The premise (container) is also full of graffiti, but is very well equipped and very comfortable.

No one would think of trying to break into such a dirty building - from the outside... Appearances are deceiving, even in Athens. So I think it is still being used and few know it is also equipped inside, although of course I have no idea whether this will still be the case in Athens in 2022.

I would assume car 82 was used as drivers' lounge between 19.10.2018-20.11.2020 when all services were cut back to Kasomouli due to trackbed subsidence on approaches to Syntagma Square.

I would also assume that the twin car at Leoforos Poseidonos was also used as drivers' lounge since that station acts as a terminal. There are now container-style buildings in place of that car at Leoforos Poseidonos, probably designed for the same purpose.
