Tram services in the city have been suspended.

Following damage to the city’s tram network caused by shelling on the night of 27 October, tram operations were once again halted for repair and restoration work.

However, due to the deteriorating security situation, mass evacuation of the population, regular shelling of the city, and the critical state of the energy sector, a decision was made to cease operation of the tram system from 1 November 2025.
The last actual day of tram service was 26 October 2025.

Tramcars will soon be evacuated out of the city to ensure their preservation.

The Druzhkivka tram did not live to see its 80th anniversary by even one month.

After seven years of serving as a donor vehicle, Tatra T3SUCS car No. 7088 returned to line service.

2025 m. balandžio 9 d.

As a result of a UAV strike on the city transport enterprise, 7 tramcars were damaged, one of which (Tatra T3SU No. 7010) was destroyed, and a fire broke out at the depot.
The municipal enterprise “Druzhkivka Autoelectrotrans” immediately announced that tram services would not operate on 10 April.

From 10:00 on 10 April, tram routes 1 and 2 resumed operation.
On 11 April, service on Route 4 was also restored.

A fire broke out on the roof of the tram depot.
The fire was contained within three hours.
The tramcars were not damaged.

2023 m. birželio 20 d.

After repairs, Tatra T3SUCS car No. 8137, which had previously served as a donor vehicle for other trams, resumed operation following a three-year downtime.

The fare for city buses is now 12 ₴, while for trams it is 5 ₴.

The increase is attributed to a significant rise in the cost of material resources, fuel and lubricants, and drivers’ wages.

After repairs, Tatra T3SUCS car No. 146 resumed operation following a two-year downtime.

2022 m. vasario 25 d.

In line with actions taken by neighbouring cities, the operation of urban public bus transport has been suspended in order to conserve fuel for potential emergency situations.
At the same time, tram services are being maintained in an intensified mode.

2022 m. vasario 12 d.

The development programme of the municipal enterprise “Druzhkivka Autoelectrotrans” up to 2025 has been published.
Planned investments in the Druzhkivka tram system were expected to exceed 56 million hryvnias. Over a three-year period, the funds were to be allocated for subsidising passenger transport, dispatching services, staff salaries, and tax payments.

In addition, a modernisation of the city’s tram network was planned, including:
— rehabilitation of tram operations on Routes 1, 2, and 4;
— creation of a passing and layover point in Donskyi Settlement and installation of a second track along Potyomkin Street (now called Mykola Rudenko Street);
— major overhauls of tramcars.

The programme also envisaged the restoration of Tram Route 6 (Central City Hospital – Rostok Market, via Verkhnia Havrylivka and Toretska Hospital).

However, due to the outbreak of hostilities, the investment programme was never implemented.

The operating patterns of tram routes 1 and 2 have been revised.
To provide a direct connection between Donskyi Settlement, the city centre, and the railway station, Route 1 has been extended to Donskyi Settlement. Route 2 now operates only as far as the Central City Hospital.

Service levels:
Route 1: 2–3 cars, 12–18-minute headways
Route 2: 2 cars, 18-minute headways
Route 4: 1 car, 20-minute headway

2020 m. Kovas

Due to the введённые quarantine restrictions, tram services are operating with a minimum allocation of one car per route and a midday service break:

Route 1 — 6:30–9:55 / 2:25–5:35 pm — 36 min
Route 2 — 7:00–9:25 / 2:35–5:20 pm — 1 h 6 min
Route 4 — 6:50–9:30 / 2:35–5:10 pm — 36 min

2018 m. Birželis

Within one month, the city received six new tramcars, bringing the total number of Tatra T3SU and Tatra T3SUCS vehicles to nine units.
All cars underwent major overhaul in Kharkiv.

The Tatra T3 tramcars have now become the backbone of the tram fleet, and regular service is operated exclusively using these vehicles.

Starting 27 December 2016, an additional tram service, Route 4K, was introduced, operating between Rostok Market and the Municipal Gas Authority stop.
At this stage, the route operated in test mode, running only during the evening peak period from 4:05 pm to 7:15 pm.

In December 2016, a comprehensive passenger flow survey was conducted on the section between Rostok Market and the Mashynobudivnykiv Square and Sotsialnyi Horodok stops. The study identified the number of passengers who preferred bus services instead of using the tram system.
Following the introduction of Route 4K, tram headways on the Rostok Market — Municipal Gas Authority section were reduced to 8–9 minutes, while on the section from Mashynobudivnykiv Square to the Municipal Gas Authority, headways ranged from 4 to 8 minutes.

2015 m. balandžio 28 d.

Operation of Tatra T3 tramcars began in Druzhkivka.
The first of two Tatra T3SUCS vehicles, fleet number 7088, arrived from Kharkiv.

Test runs on the city’s tram network started in May.

In April 2025, exactly ten years after entering service, this very car became the first tram in the city to be destroyed as a result of the war — the depot roof collapsed onto it following a UAV strike.

2014 m. spalio 28 d.

The line from the Municipal Gas Authority to the Mashynobudivnykiv district was restored — Routes 2 and 4 were extended to this section.

The line from Central City Hospital to Donskyi Settlement, abandoned 10 years earlier, was restored — Route 2 was extended to this terminus.
The section from the Central City Hospital stop to Donskyi Settlement is now single-track; only the southern track was rebuilt.

2012 m. liepos 23 d.

The organizers of the city’s tram passenger services completed the reconstruction of the tracks at the T-junction of Radchenko Street (now called Mashynobudivnykiv) and Oleg Koshevoy Street (now called Vartovych Neba), opening a new service — Route 6-A: from Central City Hospital to Rostok Market.
The new route was intended to significantly save time and money for those planning to visit all major city markets in a single day: “Rostok”, “Havrylivskyi”, and “Novyi”.
However, the route was discontinued shortly after launch.
