On October 29, 2024, Adaray resumed service through a collaboration between Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD Transportation.

Adaray was cancelled on December 12, 2016, following the resumption of regional train services to Istanbul on January 5, 2015.

Adaray, a collaboration between Sakarya Metropolitan Municipality and TCDD (Turkish State Railways), entered service on May 28, 2013, to compensate for the absence of the Haydarpaşa – Adapazarı Regional Train (Adapazarı Express), which was cancelled as part of the Marmaray project.
