Yonggwang Station reopens following reconstruction. The interior has been repainted and lighting has changed, with the chandeliers removed.

Tram route 2 (Munsu-Tosong) closes for conversion to trolleybus service. Trolleybuses with off-wire running replace former tram services until the new trolleybus overhead wires are completed.

Roadworks on Mansu Bridge finish, with trolleybus route 8 resuming service and route 2 returning to its original route.

Due to construction work on the Mansu bridge, trolleybus route 8 is suspended and route 2 is rerouted through Kyongru-dong.

A new trolleybus line and a significant extension has been opened in Pyongyang.

The new line runs from Songyo to the new development at Songhwa, and route 3 has been extended through a diversion, to run through Yongung Street and Hyoksin Street.
