Ryongsong—Ryonmotdong trolleybus route resumes operation, after it was disrupted during the construction of Hwasong District Stage 3.

Yonggwang Station reopens following reconstruction. The interior has been repainted and lighting has changed, with the chandeliers removed.

Tram route 2 (Munsu-Tosong) closes for conversion to trolleybus service. Trolleybuses with off-wire running replace former tram services until the new trolleybus overhead wires are completed.

Roadworks on Mansu Bridge finish, with trolleybus route 8 resuming service and route 2 returning to its original route.

Due to construction work on the Mansu bridge, trolleybus route 8 is suspended and route 2 is rerouted through Kyongru-dong.

15 aprill 2022 a.

A new trolleybus line and a significant extension has been opened in Pyongyang.

The new line runs from Songyo to the new development at Songhwa, and route 3 has been extended through a diversion, to run through Yongung Street and Hyoksin Street.

The Mangyongdae-Songsin tramway line is bisected, with a western line to Pyongyang station and an eastern line to Songyo. The segment in between on the Taedonggang bridge and the center running section of Yonggwang street are abandoned.
