April 30, 2025

The first Siemens S700 tram from the batch ordered in 2018 arrived at the depot. The tram is 90 feet long and weighs approximately 100,000 pounds. Capacity: 211 passengers.

February 7, 2023

All electric buses of the New Flyer XE 40 model ordered in 2020 entered the city routes.

January 2022

The first 2 of 10 electric buses ordered in 2020 began operating on routes. This is a New Flyer XE 40 model, it has a power reserve of up to 150 mils.

September 24, 2018

OCTA awards $220.5 million contract to Walsh Construction Company to build the streetcar. Work has begun on laying tram tracks. The tram line will connect Harbor Transit Center and Santa Ana Regional Transportation Center. The 4.15-mile route will have 10 stops, with service intervals expected to range from 10 to 15 minutes. Planned opening date: Spring 2026.

OCTA placed an order for 8 Siemens S700 vehicles, at a cost of $51.5 million.
