After less as 4 years, the operation of this tramsystem is "suspended".
It's unlikely that the tram will run again.

The first 13 km of Mengzi tramway started public service on 1 October 2020. The first route should be extended to a total of 18 km length adding another 9 stops to the 15 stations nowin service. The first route runs from the Northern railway station cross-town to the central Bus interchange. In the mid-term a four-routes network of 62 km is planned and partially under construction.
