The first load of Tram 2000 consisting of vehicles 2049, 2088, 2042, 2087, 2044, 2016, 2030 and 2011 left the Limmattal train yard and arrived in Buchs SG at the border after dark. With the exception of 2011 and 2044, which were still at the central workshop Zentralwerkstätte, the vehicles were all in temporary storage at Welti-Furrer in Dielsdorf. The vehicles arrived there in January and February, because the storage space in Zurich is becoming increasingly scarce with the increasing delivery of the Flexity. This leaves 2040 and 2041 in Dielsdorf. The trams were loaded onto the railway cars om 22nd March (2042, 2049, 2088 and 2089) and on 24th March (2016, 2011, 2030 and 2044) in Niederglatt. The vehicles in Buchs will make their way to the Polish-Ukrainian border in the next few days. From there, they will be transported further to Vinnitsa by lorry. The next delivery will probably include the vehicles 2002, 2014, 2015, 2040, 2041, 2045, 2046 and 2090. This delivery is supported by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). Am 10. Dezember wurde die neue Linie 20, die Limmattalbahn, eröffnet. Diese führt vom Bahnhof Zürich Altstetten via Schlieren und Dietikon zum Bahnhof Killwangen-Spreitenbach im Kanton Aargau. Zwischen den Haltestellen Farbhof und Schlieren, Geissweid werden dabei die Gleise der bereits im Jahre 2019 verlängerten Linie 2 mitbenützt. Betrieben wird die Linie von der Firma Aargau Verkehr mit Stadler Tramlinks die im Depot Müsli in Dietikon stationiert sind.

The VBZ began to scrap some Trams of the Type Tram 2000 from the first Series (2001-2045/2301-2315), that were build from 1976-1978. On 31st August the VBZ scrapped the cars 2004 and 2006 and on 23rd September car 2012.

23 grudnia 2020 r.

Zurich will transfer 70 more tram cars to Vinnytsia. The signing of the agreement on the extension of the Zurich tram project, under which Vinnitsa will receive a new batch of trams, took place on December 23. The document provides for the delivery of 70 cars of the "Tram2000" series. Vinnitsa plans to receive the first batch of 35 cars in 2022. The decision to transfer the second batch of Tram2000 wagons will be made after the assessment of the effectiveness of the implementation of the first part of the new agreement.

14 listopada 2019 r.

A presentation of the new Bombardier Flexity 2 tram took place in the city. Trams of this model are to replace the outdated Tram 2000 on the city streets. The Bombardier Flexity 2 trams should go into full operation in May 2020.

23 listopada 2011 r.

The final batch of 12 Mirage wagons was loaded onto the railway platforms. Car numbers: 1626, 1656, 1659, 1664, 1668, 1673, 1676, 1677, 1679, 1681, 1685, 1688.
In addition to the trams, the Swiss sent carts and various parts for the cars: brake discs, towing devices, footboards.
The first train with trams for Vinnitsa departed at 1.30 on November 24, 2011 and at 4.30 it arrived in Buchs, St. Gallen (Swiss border).
Delivery of all cars to Ukraine will take about two to three weeks.
