The tram line 15 has been extended by about 2,5 km from Palettes to ZIPLO.

Two trolleybus routes have been extended on December 12. 2021 :
— Route 2 has been extended catenary-free from Onex-Marché to Cressy, replacing bus route 21 over a 2.4 km section and 8 stops. This section was already used by battery trolleybuses before the official extension on selected route 2 services on Friday and Saturday nights.
— Route 7 has been extended catenary-free from Aubépine to Bout-du-Monde by an additional 1.2 km with 3 new stops. The total section of the route operated on batteries is 2.1 km long and contains 6 stops.

The tram line 14 has been extended by about 2 km to the west to its new terminus 'Bernex, Vailly'.

The first of 23 additional Van Hool ExquiCity trolleybuses has been received. The first few vehicles will replace the 29-year old Swisstrolley 1 trolleybuses within the following months.

The tram track between Moillesulaz — Annemasse-Parc Montessuit with length (2 km) will be opened on 15 December 2019.

The trolleybus route 7 was extended from Hôpital to Aubépine without overhead lines. The new section is 980 metres long and includes 3 new stops. Every second service will be extended to Aubépine and therefore operated by Van Hool ExquiCity trolleybuses.

Открыто новое разворотное кольцо с возможностью разворота в обе стороны возле остановки Bachet-de-Pesay, сама остановка теперь имеет 4 платформы.
Маршрут 18 и пиковые выпуски 12 маршрута, курсировавшие до Carouge-Rondeau, продлены до Bachet-de-Pesay.
Модернизация связана с планируемым запуском в конце 2019 года железнодорожной линии между Lancy и Genève-Eaux-Vives, при этом Bachet-de-Pesay отведена роль пересадочной станции между трамваем и пригородными поездами.

16 сентября 2011 года в Женеву прибыл первый из 32 заказанных вагонов Stadler TANGO. Вагон разработан и изготовлен в Швейцарии. Шестисекционный двусторонний вагон имеет длину 44 метра; по данным производителя, в вагоне предусмотрено 88 сидений, и 173 пассажира смогут ехать стоя при плотности размещения 4 чел/кв.м. До конца 2011 года намечена поставка ещё 6 вагонов, а остальные будут доставлены в срок до 2014 года. Контракт предусматривает опцион на 24 вагона.
