24 六月 2025 年

Die 10,6 km lange Straßenbahnstrecke im Touristengebiet Wŏnsan-Kalma (원산갈마) wurde in Betrieb genommen.
Bereits im Jahr 2020 wurde die eingleisige Ringstrecke fertiggestellt, der Bau des dreigleisigen Depots zog sich bis in das Jahr 2024.
Die Straßenbahn nahm zur Eröffung des Touristengebietes am 24.06.2025 den Fahrbetrieb mit fünf Fahrzeugen auf (2x geschlossene Wagen und 3x mit offenem Fahrgastbereich).

元山市无轨道电车事务所更名为元山市无轨道旅客巴士事务所。

10 三月 2022 年

New Google Earth imagery shows the new trolleybus extensions to Kalma, Myongsashimri and Songdowon, thus roughly doubling the overhead length from 9.5 km to 18.5 km. The precise date of the new extension opening is unknown.

Completed construction of the third tramway system in North Korea. A circular one-way 7 km-long line on the grounds of the new Kalma Beach Resort was under construction since the summer of 2020.
