Two new trolleybus routes have been launched:

T4: Kaufland — Stadionului street;
T5: Kaufland — Heleșteu (via Mediaș railway station).

Publication of tender for purchase of 16 electric buses (10m) through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
16.10.2024: contract was signed with BMC Truck & Bus (romanian importator for ZTE Smart Auto buses).
08.2025: all electric buses were delivered.

The trolleybus network is extended to the Moșnei and Stadionului neighborhoods. A new trolleybus route will be created for each neighborhood.

Publication of tender for purchase of 5 trolleybuses (12m) and 1 electric bus (12m) through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
10.07.2024: trolleybus contract was signed with Solaris Bus & Coach.
23.06.2025: electric bus contract was signed with Anadolu Automobil Rom.
07.2025: all trolleybuses were delivered.

Publication of tender for purchase of 3 trolleybuses (12m) through the Regional Operational Program 2014-2020.
10.06.2020: contract was signed with Solaris Bus & Coach.
19.05.2021: all trolleybuses were delivered (no. 850 — 852).

The trolleybus network on Constantin Brâncuși and Academician Ioan Moraru streets is restored. Still never used.

A direct trolleybus connection is made between Sibiului and Ighișului street (Lukoil gas station), so that the T2V trolleybus route is established.

The trolleybus network is extended along Sibiului street to the city border, also along Ighișului and Vidraru streets.

The trolleybus network is extended in Gura Câmpului neighborhood on Govora and 1 Decembrie streets, thus lines T1 and T2 are extending their routes.

The trolleybus network from Clujului street will be dismantled in 2006, together with the trolleybus network installed on Constantin Brâncoveanu and Academician Ioan Moraru streets.

The trolleybus network is extended to Vitrometan and Gura Câmpului neighborhoods (Clujului street). Thus, route T1 is extended to Gura Câmpului, route T2 is created to connect these two neighborhoods via the train station and route T3 is created to connect the Vitrometan neighborhood with the Automecanica industrial area.
