The trolleybus is now in service.

December 3, 2024

The officially scheduled date for the opening of the trolleybus line is 5 April 2025.

March 12, 2024

One year after the closure of the GLT system, the first new trolleybus was delivered.

March 13, 2023

The Guided Light Transit (GLT) system has closed as of March 13, 1:00 am.

December 8, 2022

The last GLT/Bombardier TVR vehicles will be retired from service on March 12, 2023.

January 6, 2022

HESS awarded to provide 25 lighTram 25 DC double-articulated trolleybuses from 01.2024. Trolleybuses will replace the current GLT system by Bombardier on the T1 line between Vélodrome and CHU Brabois.

November 3, 2021

Due to numerous fires and broken knuckles (including two on the same day), half of the TVR vehicles were halted until the chassis and couplings were checked.
The line T1 between Vélodrome and CHU Brabois is closed and replaced by articulated buses.

The classic tram project is definitely abandoned. The GLT system will be closed in April 2023 and rebuilt into a trolleybus system by January 2024

Because of financial problems and Covid lockdown, the new Grand Nancy Council team has decided to postpone the construction of the classic tramway and to extend the operation of Bombardier TVR at least until 2022.

Delivered Bombardier TVR vehicles, transferred to Nancy from Caen free of charge.

October 27, 2017

The last year of operation of the guided rubber-tire transit line the 'tram' is 2020. The system was built using the Guided Light Transit (GLT) technology by Bombardier, the competitor of the Translohr technology. The system will be closed and rebuilt into a classic tramway by 2023.
