With the drop in temperatures service on trolleybuses Line Q has been reinstated. Since a solution to the battery problem has not been found, the municipal Executive confirmed that the service will remain active until the weather permits.

Trolleybuses Line Q has been temporarily suspended due to the batteries of the Trolza-5265.03 Megapolis trolleybuses overheating thus prohibiting operation in the auxiliary power mode within segments without an overhead. The service will be suspended until the heat subsides. The trolleybuses have been transferred to the Line K. The service on the diesel bus Line 127 has been enhanced as a compensation.

All 12 TrolZa 5265.03 Megapolis trolleybuses have been delivered. The new vehicles are undergoing night trials in operation both under the overhead and in auxiliary power mode. It has been reported that upon a sample 25 km. run with air conditioning and all lights on, the batteries were discharged 40% of the nominal total. It is assumed that the units will be numbered 21-32 in correlation with the TrolZa factory numbers 88-99.

Delivery of the first 2 new Russian trolleybuses TrolZa 5265.03 Megapolis for the Line Q out of 12 ordered by the municipality from TrolZa. The trolleybuses were dispatched from the port of Zárate, where they arrived from Russia, on 04.18. As per the Secretary of Mobility, Monica Alvarado, since Trolza delivered trolleybuses with a delay, 2 additional trolleybuses are expected as a penalty for a breach of the contract by TrolZa, in addition to the 12 ordered.

12 TrolZa Megapolis trolleybuses with auxiliary power option up to 60 km. using lithium-ion batteries will be delivered to Argentina by 03.2017. All electronics will be produced by the Novosibirsk companies ARS-TERM and Irbis.

A contract for delivery of 12 low-floor Megapolis trolleybuses for the new Q Line is signed between the Rosario municipality and the Russian trolleybus factory TrolZa. The 13 km.-long new trolleybus line will follow the existing K trolleybus line in the east of the city, and will serve the new southwest trolleybus corridor via Avenida Francia. 12 vehicles will be required to operate the line — 10 for regular service, and 2 as spares. The headway will be 10 min. The new trolleybuses will be equipped with air-conditioning. The delivery of trolleybuses and the opening of the new line is expected by the end of 2016.
