Luoyang trolleybus stage 1 commences operation, with a total overhead wire length of 15.65㎞, 3 transformers, 4 turning loops and 1 depot. The route is operated by 40 thyorister controlled articulated trolleybuses.

Construction of Luoyang trolleybus stage 1 commences, undertaken by Henan Third Construction corps (depot), State Grid (wiring), PLA Unit 80590 (poles), Beijing Trolleybus Subdivision (overhead wires and transformers).
