New York & Harlem Railroad Co. extends its line to 32nd Street.

November 27, 1832

Opening of the first horse street railway line in New York owned by the New York & Harlem Railroad Co. Initial service begins on Bowery from Prince Street to 14th Street.

May 20, 1832

New York & Harlem Railroad Co. is authorized to extend its line to Walker Street.

May 18, 1832

New York & Harlem Railroad Co. is authorized to extend its line to Prince Street

April 6, 1832

New York & Harlem Railroad Co. is authorized to extend its line to 14th Street.

January 9, 1832

The ordinance about route of the New York & Harlem Railroad is accepted.

December 22, 1831

The ordinance about route of the New York & Harlem Railroad is approved. The route is selected as follows: along Fouth Avenue from 23rd Street to Harlem River, with a branch to Hudson River along 125th Street.

April 25, 1831

New York and Harlem Railroad Co. is chartered to build a track from the north bounds of 23rd Street to any point at the Harlem River between Third and Eighth Avenues, inclusive.
