Line 8 gradually converts to electric bus service. A new charging position has been installed in August at terminal stop Coerde.

June 30, 2020

Battery electric bus service begins on line 11 with four articulated busses (VDL Citea Electric SLFA-18). Charging infrastructure at Dieckmannstraße stop in Gievenbeck is operational since 15th of March. Additional funding was provided by Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe and the city of Münster.

Start of fully electric service on line 14. Due to missing charging infrastructure at the terminal stops, the electric busses only ran intermittedly. Instead of the previously used charging system with contacts on the side, overhead cantilevers were built and the five busses were retrofitted accordingly.

April 24, 2015

Battery electric bus service begins on line 14, initially with a single overnight charger. In total, five VDL Citea SLF-120 Electric and charging infrastructure, with two fast charging stations at terminal stops Zoo and Maikottenweg among them, are to be installed. Addional public funding is coming from the Federal Ministry of Education and Research, Nahverkehr Westfalen-Lippe and EU project ZeEUS.
