Construction of the funicular began.

По многочисленным просьбам жителей и по рекомендациям комитета архитектуры города Турку постановлено, что трамвай в городе будет на шинном ходу, дабы не повредить архитектурные памятники, не производить много шума, а также из-за особенностей рельефа города. Строительство трамвая запланировано на лето 2014 г. Опрос среди жителей города по трассировке маршрутов будет продлён на всю осень 2013 г.

Residents of the city of Turku are asked for their opinion on the alignment options of the tramway. The question of building tram traffic has already been decided. The survey can be answered between 13 June and 18 August 2013 at the project site of the tramway master plan.
