SRTO — Società Romana Tramways Omnibus: was a public company that operated from 1881 to 1929 one of the Rome tram network. From 1911 to 1929 it fought a big battle against the municipal company. From 1904 the horse trams were abandoned and only electric tram ran in the city. All the tram fleet and the depots were acquired by the municipal company (ATAC).
