01.10.2018	Tramway operation in the city is suspended due to an unsafe state of disrepair of tracks on the Mira Prospect overpass, which connects the tramway depot and the city center. 31.05.2018	В конце мая 2018 г. на линии 5-го маршрута по ул. Уральской, Запорожской, Амурской, Комсомольскому шоссе и проспекту Ленина начались работы по демонтажу трамвайных путей и контактной сети.
01.04.2018	The tram Line 5 to Dzyomgi closes permanently due to unsafe track condition between Stepnaya Ulitsa & Pobedy Prospect. There will be no repairs since proposed reconstruction of Komsomolskoe Shosse does not include retention of tramway tracks.

29.09.2017	По сообщению отдела транспорта Администрации города, возврат 5 трамвайного маршрута к максимально урезанному варианту «пл. Металлургов — Дзёмги» после завершения дачного сезона (31 октября) пока не планируется и он продолжит ходить от пл. Володарского до Дзёмог.
