Tramway operation in the city is suspended due to an unsafe state of disrepair of tracks on the Mira Prospect overpass, which connects the tramway depot and the city center. The date of tramway reopening is not announced. Some sources call this action by the authorities deliberate, while the tramway suspension might become permanent.

The tram Line 5 to Dzyomgi closes permanently due to unsafe track condition between Stepnaya Ulitsa & Pobedy Prospect. There will be no repairs since proposed reconstruction of Komsomolskoe Shosse does not include retention of tramway tracks. |

The reconstruction of Komsomolskoe Shosse is planned to begin by the 2018. The road widening will include the removal of tramway tracks.

По сообщению отдела транспорта Администрации города, возврат 5 трамвайного маршрута к максимально урезанному варианту «пл. Металлургов — Дзёмги» после завершения дачного сезона (31 октября) пока не планируется и он продолжит ходить от пл. Володарского до Дзёмог. |
