Trams have returned to Copenhagen after a half-century absence: the first phase of the Letbane system has been opened, featuring the Ishøj – Rødovre Nord 13,1 km-section with 12 stops.
The entire 28-kilometer line is scheduled to open next year. |

The new Letbane line is now in trial operation. A 10-minute service is being simulated, testing the line's suitability for everyday use. Only the southern section, from the depot in Glostrup to Ishoj, is being operated. This will also be the first section to open in autumn 2025.
