20.04.2025	Trolleybus service in Tehran has been suspended again, with Chinese-made electric buses running on the lines. The exact date of the system closure cannot be determined following limited information sources.

21.03.2016	Trolleybus service reinstated via the 1.8 km segment of the line between Meydan-e-Khorasan and Bozorgrah-e-Be'sat on 21.03.2016 as a part of a program of introducing electric and hybrid buses to the streets of Tehran. Work is underway on further extension of the line to Meydan-e-Shohada. About 30 Škoda 15Tr trolleybuses are refurbished with new front and rear ends. http://transphoto.ru/photo/937699/
